Our Coaching Approach

Goal Driven Individualized Development

Discover your leadership potential.

Calibra coaching services are both an experiential and individualized leadership development process. Our services build on a leader’s capability to achieve short- and long- term organizational goals.  The process is based on several one-on-one meetings over a period of time (typically six months to one year).  The organization, leader, and coach work in partnership to discover the individual’s potential and achieve maximum performance over time.

Develop a plan.

We start by assessing fit between the participant and the coach.  Assuming good fit, an assessment is conducted to determine outcome goals for the process, overall strengths and development needs.  This forms the basis for a development plan that guides the coaching process.  A coaching “contract” is  created that outlines roles, responsibilities, confidentiality, length of engagement, and decisions regarding what/how to report any information to the participant’s manager.

Address work-related challenges.

Coaching is not counseling. The focus is on work-related challenges and behaviors. Typical issues include:

  • interpersonal or leadership style,
  • strategies for specific relationships and situations,
  • conflict resolution, and
  • leading or managing others.

Periodic meetings enable the individual to complete assignments and address development issues, often involving changing a specific behavior and monitoring the results.
